CARP Georgian Bay Chapter 14 and Beach 1 Electric Ltd are pleased to be co-hosting the After 5 event on Thursday October 18th at 5:00pm.

Please join us at the Town of Collingwood Lawn Bowling Club, located directly behind the YMCA. Parking is off Paterson St.

Carp Georgian Bay Chapter has a new chairperson who will be introduced at this time  and will share new opportunities that can be explored with CARP.  

Appetizers, door prizes and a few fun demonstrations will be provided.

All members of the Collingwood Chamber of Commerce in good standing are welcome and encouraged to bring a one time colleague or guest.

Collingwood Jazz Concert

Lance Anderson and Michael Sloski “The Joint Chiefs of Soul” have become favourites of Jazz and Blues fans in Collingwood over the past few years. With Anderson’s Hammond B3 organ and the drumming of Sloski, the best blues/roots drummer in the country . Lance is one of Canada’s top keyboard artists but shines particularly on the B3. The B3 organ has a distinctive soulful sound and in the hands of Lance Anderson is sure to move and entertain everyone.

Understanding the Monster in your Medicine Cabinet

Prescription drugs can help us heal but when not managed properly, they can lead to problems.  Most people understand how to take their medication safely and what the benefits are, but questions can arise about harmful side effects or how much of a drug is too much. 

Learn how to manage your prescriptions, dispose of them safely and reduce the risk of prescription drug addiction for you and your loved ones.  Join the G&M Hospital Foundation on Thursday, October 18th at 7 pm at the Collingwood Leisure Time Centre for a free education seminar “Understanding the Monster in My Medicine Cabinet”. 

A panel of guest speaker experts will address common questions and concerns about prescription drug use.  Guests will hear more about the warning signs and problems of prescription drug addiction, how to return unused or expired drugs for safe disposal and the management of prescription drugs at home.
